We mentioned Fredrik Sträng’s record-setting expedition in an earlier blog entry, and as we approach the 3rd anniversary of Fredrik's amazing achievement, we thought we’d highlight it again. It’s a great story.

Climbing the seven highest peaks on the world’s seven continents is challenging enough, but Swedish photographer and adventurer Fredrik Sträng did it

in just six months and six days, setting a new Guinness World Record. And as he went to the ends of the earth, he used a Trimble Recon to post updates, photos and videos to his Web site, as well as access his e-mail.

We want to congratulate Fredrik for his amazing accomplishment, and we’re honored that he chose the Recon for this expedition. The fact that Fredrik could count on his Recon in such extreme environments means you can have confidence in yours where you work.

You can find more information in the Trimble press release.
