Setting up multiple units is easy

You just unpacked your Nomad and now you're ready to modify the settings. You can customize your Nomad just the way you want it in a short amount of time. Even if you have 99 other units waiting in boxes.

It's not a long or difficult process, but with that many units it can be rather time-consuming. I hear it all the time from customers who want to set up their Nomads with specific settings and software, and they want every unit to behave exactly the same. Whether your company has nine or 900 Nomads, you can easily configure each unit with the same settings.

SPB Software has a program called SPB Clone that replicates the settings, including registry settings, from one Windows-based computer to another. Because the Nomad runs Windows Mobile, this is a great way to set up an entire fleet of machines that need to function exactly the same.

Recently a military client was working to prepare 100 units to send to the battlefield. They wanted to make sure Bluetooth and WiFi functions were disabled to eliminate radio signals while in enemy territory. The client changed registry settings to disable the two functions, plus added custom software and configured other settings to their requirements. Then they worked with the cloning software and got their entire fleet ready to use in no time.
