Some have wondered about how the camera works on the Nomad. I recently took a Nomad out to test its capabilities and found that it takes very reasonable photos. Just like other Windows Mobile devices, the camera is accessed from Start>Programs>Pictures and Videos. The first thing I like about the camera is
that the electronic viewfinder is very smooth. This gives you a clear view of what you are taking a picture of. For controls, the camera gives you the ability to adjust brightness, white balance, and resolution from 320x240 up to 1600x1200.
Video is also another feature that I have found useful for documentation. You can choose a 176x144 or 320x240 image size and capture over an hour of video at a time.

How do the pictures look? Here is a photo I took a few weeks ago at our offices in Oregon. I have found that the best pictures fill the viewfinder with the object you are photographing. For developers, you may be interested to know that the Nomad camera functions can be interfaced via the standard Microsoft API.
