Hardware Test Standards

Trimble Mobile Computing Solutions Division puts all of its rugged handheld computers through a series of tests to ensure that they can handle extreme weather conditions, dust, drops and accidental submersion.

There are numerous independent technical standards that have been devised to help consumers compare and evaluate hardware products.

Trimble handhelds meet rigorous MIL-STD-810F military standards for drops, vibration, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures. They also come with an IP67 rating, which means your handheld is protected from dust and can survive immersion in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes.

To the left, you will find a Table of Contents that outlines, in further detail, the methods used to test our products.
